The Great Houses
House Lannister of Lannisport
The Lannisters of Lannisport have ruled over the city since it was just empty coastline south of the rock.
Lord Marcus Lannister rules above the other lords and keeps the peace on the streets. Before the rise of Tywin Lannister the various lannister cousins had been constantly scheming and plotting and feuding in their own web of politics. Lord Marcus was born to that era and it is he who has brought some sembelence of order to the houses and fostered a era of prosperity over the city.
Heraldry: A golden lion guarding a golden tower on a red field.
Offcasts from the main house from before the time of seven kingdoms, the Lannettes have a storied history of coaxing gold from the mountains near and far.
Lord Loreon Lannette owns all the mines between casterly rock and the goldentooth and is one of the wealthiest men in Lannisport, no lean boast, although some mock him as ’Tywin’s anus’, not that anyone dares to say it to his face.
Heraldry: A sitting golden lion on a red field.
Born of a union between a cousin of the Lannisters and a cousin of the Martells, the house takes pride in its merchant fleet as much as it does its warships.
Lord Tytos Lantell is the city’s master of the ships, commanding not only his own impressive fleet but also the ships floated by other lords, in total the Lannisport fleet consists of thirty ships.

Upstarts raised up by Loren the last, the Lanny’s had been charged with land left lordless after the feilds of fire, in their short three hundred years they have made themselves indispensable to the politics of the city and its nobles.
Heraldry: Seven leaping lions on a white field, each of the lions is a different colour of the rainbow.

House Lannistar of the river road
These Lannistars own fetile farmlands to the north, they are ruled by Lord Tywell Lannistar.
Heraldry: A gold lion with a gold star above it on a red field.
A knightly house that supplies the Lannisport guard, they are ruled by Ser Geoffrey Lannisway.
Heraldry: A red lion on a yellow field.
A knightly house sworn to house Lannette, they are ruled by Ser Bertholm Muddfeild.
Heraldry: A piglet raising up on its hind legs on a blue field.
House Lannistar of the gold road
These Lannistars own a gold mine, they are ruled by Lord Theodore Lannistar.
Heraldry: A gold lion with a gold star next to it on a red field.
Militant and the right hand of house Lanny, ruled by Lord Ivan Goldenhill.
Heraldry: A rayonne, gold on orange.
Curiously poor, they are ruled by Lord Jacob Lanniston.
Heraldry: A golden winged lion on a red field.
Knightly house that serves the city, ruled by Ser Harold Goodwind.

House Lannistar of the ocean road
These Lannistars own some woodland, they are ruled by Lord Tywell Lannistar and are sworn to the Lantells.
